Save Your Spot Here!

Using props and different vendor swag hidden throughout the room, your team of researchers must overcome false positives, puzzles and other gimmicks, utilizing problem-solving skills and other interactive tactics to escape the room before time runs out.

Scenario:
Your company HipMicro has uncovered a software intrusion so invasive, if left undetected it could cause up to 90% of all mobile users to halt the usage of their device. But you’re the good guys so you won’t let that happen, and you plan to identify the offending company during your keynote at this year’s SheepHat security conference. Unfortunately Globeron, a multinational gaming app development firm, feels their mission to take over the world may be threatened by your disclosure. After your team enters the conference room to prepare for your keynote, you realize something is amidst. You check the door, it’s locked, then notice something in the middle of the room- it’s a bomb! Your research team is comprised of some of the best in the industry, can you uncover and decipher the clues that are hidden around the conference room in time to disarm the bomb and present your keynote speech?

How it works?

Living Security’s escape-room brings unparalleled hands-on training, through a live-action, research-gone-wild experience!

The setting of the adventure is SheepHat, the largest security conference in the world. There, researchers gather each year to publish new vulnerabilities to amazing fanfare, propelling dozens of companies into massive success and superstardom.

Your group takes on the role of “HipMicro,” a small research team that prides itself on guarding an open and transparent internet. In the past 5 years, HipMicro has discovered 12 major vulnerabilities in 8 separate companies. Because of their discoveries, 3 of those companies failed within 1 year, as they were unable to recover from their severely damaged reputation.

This year, HipMicro has announced that they are going to go public with a software intrusion that will bring an undisclosed company to its knees. An intrusion so invasive, they claim, will cause 90% of all mobile device users to halt usage of their devices. Their app has the ability to completely take over any phone, listen to conversations, steal data, even cause spontaneous combustion and blow up in the user’s hand.

While HipMicro hasn’t publicly announced who the offender is, the multinational app development firm, Globeron is worried. With some of the hottest games on the market, including favorites like Candy Bash, Words with Enemies, and DessertVille, Globeron’s apps have been downloaded on 90% of the globes mobile devices, making them awfully close to their mission to “Own the world.” With all that at stake, they will do whatever it takes to make sure HipMicro doesn’t make that devastating presentation...

Upon arrival, a “Conference Ambassador” shows your team to a room where you will be preparing the presentation, as you are the keynote speakers on the last day of the conference. Because of the top-secret nature of this conference, you are unable to bring your phones into the room. As soon as you enter into the room, the door shuts behind you, locking the team inside. Globeron planted a bomb inside and wants to make sure you don’t escape.

The Conference Ambassador then leads the team through a rundown and instructions to help you in your quest to escape in time to deliver the presentation.
