I’ve been (un)fortunate enough to work in jobs the last few years that have allowed me to travel to and attend many different information security events and conferences. (ISC)² remains one of my favourite security events on the calendar and pulls me back every year.
If you’re planning on attending, there are a few things to bear in mind to set expectations and ensure you can extract maximum value from the event:
Birds of a Feather: Flock to these Sessions Early
As if there weren’t already a wealth of learning opportunities at (ISC)² Security Congress, you’ll also find Birds of a Feather sessions each morning to kick off your day. They begin at 9:30 a.m. before the start of regular sessions. So if you are an early bird, you won’t want to miss these informal, interactive discussion sessions. It’s a chance to have an open dialogue about real-world issues you are facing and to collaborate with your peers on how to solve them. Last year these sessions were standing room only, so we’ve added even more. There are three to choose each day.
